Coronavirus - COVID-19

In light of the evolving situation involving the outbreak and rapid spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we know many people have had their income disrupted. We understand the impossible circumstances a large number of borrowers have landed in, and we want to do what we can to help. We want to work with our borrowers to find solutions and provide as much assistance as possible during this unprecedented and challenging event.

Our current policy is to evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis. Because Casita Capital is a private mortgage company, many of the assistance programs discussed by governmental agencies may not apply to our loans. In order to provide as much relief as possible and to communicate updates, we have created this page to provide information.

What you should do:

​

  • Focus on the safety of you and your loved ones

  • Update your contact information, especially your cell phone number and email address by registering on our website.

  • Stay in contact with SecureNet and Casita Capital throughout this situation.

What you should know:

​

  • If you can continue making your mortgage payments, you should do so.

  • If you need help with your mortgage payment, please register on our website. We will continually update our website with additional information.

  • If you are in the military and have been activated to respond to a disaster, you may be eligible for additional benefits. Please contact SecureNet if this applies to you.

Mortgage payments are still due as scheduled, but we are looking to find solutions for our borrowers with major disruptions in their income or employment. In order to be eligible for forbearance, the suspension of all or a part of the mortgage payment for a specified period of months, or a loan modification, borrowers must do the following:

  1. Register on our website to request relief. You can register HERE.

  2. Complete the following information on their "My Account" page

    1. Property Address​

    2. Valid Email 

    3. Valid Phone

  3. Remain in communication with Casita Capital and our Loan Servicer (SecureNet Loan Services). Expect to receive email updates from Casita Capital detailing the changes we make over the coming weeks and/or months.

  4. ​​​Make minimum monthly payments to cover the escrow requirements of your loan (i.e. - monthly taxes and homeowners insurance). You may contact SecureNet to determine your minimum monthly escrow amount that needs to be paid to cover your taxes and insurance. We will attempt to add that information to your "My Account" page in the coming days/weeks.

We were experiencing some technical difficulties with regards to our new email address. We are currently attempting to work out solutions with all of the borrowers that have reached out to us thus far.
